Aer Lingus launches transatlantic business
Aer Lingus is offering business class fares to North America starting from under €2,000. The sale covers routes to cities including Toronto, New York, and Washington, with travel valid from November through July.

Aer Lingus has launched a new sale on business class flights to North America, with fares starting from just under €2,000. The airline's Head for Points report details competitive pricing across multiple US and Canadian destinations for travel beginning in November.
These fares are available as the carrier prepares to introduce an upgraded business class cabin. The source notes the new cabin is 'due very soon' and will replace the current 2x2 row configuration. Passengers booking early on non-upgraded aircraft may still be able to select the coveted solo 'throne' seats.

Earning miles and points
Aer Lingus is not part of the oneworld alliance, so flights with an EI code cannot be credited to programs like Qatar Airways Privilege Club. However, passengers have several options for earning rewards.
Flights can be credited to The British Airways Club. Discounted business class fares typically booked into D, R, or I fare classes earn Avios based on 150% of miles flown. They earn tier points based on 25% of miles flown when booked into R or I fares.
Crediting to Aer Lingus's own AerClub program, which awards Avios based on spending, may yield more points on these sale fares. The source suggests The British Airways Club could be the better option, as it also allows passengers to earn British Airways tier points. As a 'wild card,' flights can also be credited to a United Airlines MileagePlus account to earn Star Alliance miles.
British Airways status benefits
Elite members of The British Airways Club now receive limited status benefits when flying Aer Lingus and adding their British Airways Executive Club number to the booking. The benefits are tiered.
Bronze members receive priority check-in for everyone on the booking using the Premium or Business Class area, along with priority boarding for the entire party.
Silver and Gold members receive those same benefits plus additional perks. They get priority security for the member plus one companion when travelling from Dublin, Shannon, London Heathrow, Amsterdam, Belfast, or Birmingham. Lounge access for the member plus one is provided at selected lounges on transatlantic routes. An extra baggage allowance is also granted.
Silver members get one additional 23kg bag on Aer Lingus-operated economy flights, excluding EI Saver Fares. Gold members get one additional 23kg bag in any cabin, excluding EI Saver Fares. For EI Business class, Gold members are allowed an additional piece up to 32kg, though the combined weight must not exceed 96kg.
The report recommends checking the Aer Lingus website to explore specific dates and routes. It credits the deal alert to Luxury Flight Club.
