Polish Air Navigation Services Agency Deploys Frequentis' New Voice Communication System
The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) has deployed a new voice communication system from Frequentis, enhancing its capacity to manage air traffic across Poland.

The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) has taken a significant step in enhancing its air traffic management capabilities with the deployment of a new voice communication system from Frequentis.
PANSA serves one of the largest airspaces in Europe, managing around 3,000 flights a day. The new system, known as the X10 voice communication system (VCS), is designed to provide high operational agility and adaptability for modern air traffic management.
The X10 platform enables PANSA to operate in a virtual centre environment, seamlessly interconnecting its air traffic control centres. This allows for more efficient management of air traffic and improved resilience in the face of disruptions.
The system features a total of 74 operational positions, with 60 allocated to active air traffic management and 14 to controller training. This setup is designed to support PANSA's goals for resilience and overall efficiency based on a leading-edge technological environment.
According to Reinhard Grimm, Executive Vice President ATM at Frequentis, the successful deployment of the X10 system reflects a deep commitment to advancing aviation safety in Poland. He noted that the partnership between Frequentis and PANSA has been ongoing for almost 30 years, with a mutual commitment to aviation safety and operational resilience.
